Pilgrimages always point us to the greater significance of our life’s purpose. Aside from discovering different places pertinent to the enrichment of our faith, it emphasizes our Christian journey.
This season of Lent, the Church once again encourages us to take a look at this amazing journey– our turning away from our old self and our continuous struggle for a new life in Jesus Christ.
As we meditate on the Way of the Cross in the churches of Panay Island, let us turn our eyes not just on His journey on the road to Calvary, where sufferings and heartbreaks are enormous but also on His journey on the road of Emmaus, where the good news of the resurrection echoes to make our hearts joyful and glorious.
May Our Lady of Pacita- the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, embrace us as we discover in the places we will visit the beauty and splendor of our faith.
I impart to everyone my paternal blessings.
